New at Blog Carnival

Carnival Organizers: when you list a new edition, you tell us the "submissions deadline" for that edition. We now send an e-mail reminder about 24 hours prior to the submission deadline. It is sent to the carnival maintainer, the edition maintainer (typically these are the same), and the submission address for that edition. It contains handy links for updating the index and adding entries for new editions.

In response to your feedback, we have reorganized the page that carnival organizers use to record both past editions (and where they were posted), and future editions (when/where they will be posted, and where submissions should be sent). We hope you like it. Keep your suggestions coming.

Many carnivals have colorful logos, badges, and buttons. We have added a new field to the carnival description page where you can enter the URL of your logo image. It will be displayed right at the top of your carnival index page. What does it look like? There are many examples, but one of my favorite logos was created by the Carnival of the New Jersey Bloggers.

We have redone our front page to have more carnival posts, and less of everything else.
